If anyone wants to schedule a battle at my gym, I'm leaving next week on a shoot. So this is basically your only time for the next month or so. Leave a comment here and I'll try and pencil you in.

ps; There doesn't seem to be any consequence for having the non-Pokemon disease or whatever, but if there's anyone out there who remembers when this wasn't the case, can we get a headcount? I mean, here I'm like a boss model instead of the island crazy, so I'm not gonna complain, but just checking this isn't some kind of hallucination only I'm having.

Good afternoon everyone! I have extra space at the daycare center, now that we've removed all the old shelves, so if you have a pokémon you would like me to watch for you, bring them down! I'm lowering prices, as well, so it will only be fifty pokémoney to have me take care of one, plus fifty per level they gain, instead of the usual.

As a reminder, Chansey and I are more than willing to help out any injured pokémon you might have, and we sell fresh volcano cookies and any herbal supplements you might need!

Be careful at your gym battles, okay? They can be really rough on your friends.

Ah, and if anyone is any good at carpentry, I have a few jobs for you! I need to get a shelter built in the yard for the larger pokémon, and I want to turn the shorter shelves into beds for the smaller ones! Oo, which reminds me, I'm going to need to order a lot of thneeds...

Oh, and speaking of pokémon...

Miss Danvers, if you wouldn't mind stopping by, your Tyrantrum had an egg this morning! I thought they would; they get along very well! I hadn't expected it quite this soon, though. Your ditto seems to be attempting to incubate it.

And Miss Ukraine, you had mentioned that if I came across a Skiddo egg, you might like one? One of the ranchers was having me raise his Gogoat a few levels, and she had an egg that he didn't want. I thought of you right away! I'll have it ready for you, if you'd like to come get it!

Itsuki... I think Artemis is ready to go home. She and Alphonse really hit it off, but she misses you and Apollo. Will you come see her?

I've been released from the hospital.

[He sounds mildly puzzled by this, but unbothered. Then he hesitates, glancing down from the camera.]

I... I'm sorry if I made anyone worry. I wasn't thinking straight.

Okay, so not only did everything suck when we all went alternate reality/personality/whatever on each other, but I've also got a calculus test on Monday. Can we just agree to, I don't know, let school have a back-seat to crazy events. No? Hey, it's worth a shot.

Actually, wait, one more thought: is anyone else Jewish? Passover is coming up and it might be nice to do something as a group. Since, idk, "fictionals" don't always get the best looks from everyone else.

I'm sorry.

I'm so sorry.

30 March 2014 @ 04:10 pm
[It seems whatever is messing with the island this time has not left Carol unaffected. She turns on the video feed and anyone on the other end is given a rather nice view of her new costume before it zooms in on her face.]

It seems like we're having a bit of a misunderstanding as of late, dear citizens of New Moore; so I'm going to make this as clear as I can for everyone: I'm going to go blow some shit up. If you don't want to get blown up, don't get in my way. Any questions?

25 March 2014 @ 06:50 am
[Looking into the camera, Koizumi looks pretty awful - generally rough and disheveled. Truth be told, he is looking a little gaunt as well, as though he hadn't been eating for a while. The worst part, however, is his expression: quietly depressive, despondent - he looks like even something as simple as making this video message is a struggle. When he speaks, his voice is exhausted and melancholic.]

Ah, Carol-san? I apologize for missing our last few sessions. I'm afraid I'm going to be taking a break from training until further notice. There are some... personal issues I may need a while to work out.

[He opens his mouth as if to say something else, but nothing else comes out. He looks confused for a moment, and after a long pause he simply reaches out to shut off the video feed.]

Okay, I know the obvious thing to post about is definitely the volcano, but can someone please help me figure out where I'm going wrong with Cooking Mama? No matter what I do my gyoza always start bleeding and she never stops eldritch-snarling at me. I know I'm doing something wrong! This isn't what the box says is supposed to happen!!

19 March 2014 @ 02:54 pm

People can still show up here if they die, right?

18 March 2014 @ 06:06 pm
[Carol's mask and exposed hair are caked with ash. At the moment she seems to be in a shelter of some sort but the sounds of the mayhem are not far from her.]

Please remain calm as you evacuate your homes. If you are trapped and need help evacuating let us know here and we'll get the closest super to you as soon as possible. Take only the essentials. Food and clean water are top priorities.

I'll need all the flyers I can get on this one as well as anyone with increased durability. Report here as well if you can help with evacuation.

17 March 2014 @ 10:32 pm
[Smeared with muddy ash, soaked with rain, her hair disheveled, and pretty obviously running on the fumes of three day old coffee or something, Lin looks very little like her usual, composed self. A wet rag hangs limp about her throat, and behind her is a low blaze in the distance, a line of exhausted people wrapped in soggy, fire-retardant clothing lean on shovels beside a wide trench some few yards away. Rain patters down heavily, pinging off her breastplate. The police chief is hoarse, and has to clear her throat before she can manage some sort of understandable communication.]

The fires that caught in the city have been put out. The rain has cooled the lava to the point where it's virtually stopped, and the fires in the forest are, if not entirely controlled, it's contained and closely watched. You're free to return to your homes, if you evacuated. In fact, we encourage it. Take careful stock of your possessions and immediately report any thefts.

Those of you who helped - especially with evacuating and damping the volcano - you have our thanks.

[A ragged shout rises from the volunteers behind her, who heft their shovels in salute.]

We'll make sure the fire stays within its bounds to burn itself out. Get some rest, people.

07 March 2014 @ 01:32 am
[Lin is a little less brisk and stern this time - more solemn than usual, but no less forthright.]

Well. This month was not kind. The releases are as follows:

Conrad Achenleck
Clint Barton
Lydia Bennet
Kate Bishop
Lucy Diamond
Tim Drake
Kyon
Vriska Serket
Peter Parker
Gwen Stacy - both of them
Dirk Strider
Suzumiya Haruhi

If you have any questions, you can ask them here.

One other, unrelated thing - dreamwalking apparently does not fall under breech of privacy laws. You'll have to work it out among yourselves. Peacefully.

[ her voice is bright and overly cheery, almost like a wind-up toy: ] So I'm fictional now? That's all the new thing. Okay. I guess I can get with that if it's what the young kids are doing these days. No, it totally makes sense someone would make me up.

[ okay and now it's gone. bye-bye buffy of l.a. old. this is aged buffy, mature buffy. well mature-r buffy, and she's so not impressed. ]

Except not. I wish I had a nickel for every time I got kidnapped because... Actually, can we make it a quarter? I'm worth a quarter-per-kidnapping, at least. Inflation! That's a thing. A total thing. A really real thing that unfortunately affects me now. Being an adult is lame and ishy and I don't think my boring adult life where I waitress 50 hours a week and never get to take down my hair should be fictionalized. But that's just me. I'm not the fictionalizer so I guess I don't really have a say.

Which, when you think about it? Is kind of messed up. [ an offended nose-wrinkle! ]

Let's not think about it, Island-people. People of the Island. Islanders? Islandees? Islandics?

Oh, yeah. ...Did anyone else have a really weird dream last night?

[ this has been the worst introduction ever. she clicks the feed off anyway. ]

Hey there's a girl here on the island whose powers are emerging. She says she's a banshee. As far as I can gather from talking with her she has minor precognitive abilities when it comes to death and the dying. She also said that her hearing was going haywire, that she could hear things no one else could. She's suffering extreme migraines as the moment that I have a feeling will only get worse if she can't get her powers under control soon.

So does anyone know anyone who can help train her abilities? i'm betting anyone with any psychic training or magical abilities should be able to help her. My contacts concerning these things haven't been on the island for some time.

Can someone bring my homework please? And notes from physics. Kate don't bother, you have the worst handwriting alive.

Does anyone else think everything is really loud lately?
