[A webcam clicks on, revealing Tim sitting at his computer, the rheostat dialed down slightly in the room so the lights are yellow, warm, and dim.]

I was going to make a big production of this, like my last video.  I’ve got four versions, one fifteen minutes long with four different kinds of footage spliced in.  But that didn’t feel right.

I used to think I had good reasons for keeping secrets.  Secrets kept me and the people I cared safe for a long time.  Lately, I’ve had a lot of reasons to rethink that.

A year ago, Seta Souji asked me to take over his investigation if anything happened to him.  But to do that… I need to be someone people can talk to, and someone people will trust to be able to do that job.  To rescue people.

I haven’t always been the most social person on the island, but I think since I took over running the New Brew a lot of you have gotten to know me better.

[He leans back, and takes a deep breath.  The motion brings his shoulders into view, which means everyone can see the red of his suit and the black of the cape.]

And since I’ve been patrolling as Red Robin for three years, helping the police and helping Souji fight Shadows almost since they first arrived… I hope you can trust me with that part of the job, too.

If you’ve got any questions, you can contact me here or at the New Brew, and I’ll answer them.

Gwen, Jack, it'll be just the two of you at the New Brew for the next few days.  I'm trying the next stage of my physical therapy, and it's probably going to leave me too tired to be up during the afternoon, even wired on espresso.

On the plus side, after that I should be up for good.

In celebration of getting off crutches and braces, I'm going to go dancing, just as soon as I feel up to it.  Anyone want to come with me?

[Locked to Vigilance]

Effective immediately I'm resuming my patrol routes.  Batgirl, Supergirl, I'm sure neither of you would admit needing or wanting time off, but at least with me carrying my own weight you should be able to call it a night by 2 or 3 AM instead of 4 or 6.  I'll be taking it easy at first, but I've been up on the rooftops on my own time a couple different times now, and it's been working pretty well.

there was a bat in my hair

who: terry & batfam!? + anyone else who patrols if they'd like!
what: terry's given up on the self-imposed ban on heroing and has suited up.
where: rooftops.
when: october 21st, around 1 to 2AM. school nights, schmool nights.

Despite the overwhelming amount of cons regarding the whole kidnap island situation, it's looking as though he can (gratefully) add "batsuit seemingly unscathed" to the scant list of pros. It's late, the witching hour fast approaching, when Terry takes to the rooftops for the first time since his arrival in New Moore. He had thought he'd enjoy the unexpected downtime from his night shift, another tally to the "pro" column, but three days in and he'd been all but climbing the walls. And there was only so much reality tv courtesy of a subscription to webmoviez he could stomach.

He keeps to the shadows, using them to plot his course as he canvasses the city until he finds a sufficiently tall enough building to take five on and run recalibrations (the GPS needs gutting and the date and time are still wrong). He crouches on the parapet and surveys the street below as he fools with batsuit's programming from the console at his temple.

A small, disapproving voice in the back of his head that's managing an impressive Bruce impression scolds him for being so audacious; it's risky sitting out in the open in unfamiliar territory. Especially with unfamiliar superheroes with unfamiliar agendas afoot. And where there's heroes there's bound to be villains, too. Not to mention there's the potential threat of running into, uh, "family". He sneers grimly to himself at the thought before shrugging off the Bruce-like voice of reason. He'd never been all that great at longterm reconnaissance, or patience in general, and what better way was there to get acquainted with a new city than to dive right in?

Tip to everyone: If you can't fly, don't go on the Ferris Wheel.

[Locked to Rouge]

So you been to the carnival yet?

[Locked to Bro]

Wanna check out the Tunnel of Love with me?

[Sent out through the Vigilance Network]

So what do we have on the Carnival so far besides it's really creepy?

Lydia was supposed to meet us out last night and never showed up. She's not responding to my texts but all her stuff is still here. I thought maybe she got in trouble but I can't find her. Maybe it has something to do with the creepy fair thing but if anybody's seen her tell her to call me because I don't need to breathe but I can't right now?? because people don't just disappear I mea they do here but Lydia doesnt

Just tell her to call me okay, it's important.

Nobody's gonna talk about a weird carnival showing up overnight? I mean, I get pirates were weirder, just seems freaky I'm the first one to mention it.

ok so my life up until this point has been fake. shway. thats a headache ill deal w/ later. like after i eat my bodyweight in pizza. freezer-burned peas & carrots dont really do it for me. good choco pudding tho.

but what i really want cleared up is todays date. the year being the priority here. the staff here are sketchier than the mystery meat and i cant get a straight answer from them. so if someone could just clue me in thatd be slammin.
