That speech is a bit of a shock, isn't it? It isn't as helpful as they'd like to think. But welcome! I know a lot of people tend to be very upset when they arrive - it's nice to see someone who isn't immediately set against it from the start. It's really quite a beautiful place, filled with all sorts of lovely and fascinating people from all kinds of places I've never even heard of! But it's hard to leave everything you know behind.
