So I can't say I exactly get it- but just cause we're fictional doesn't mean we're not real, right? Stupid question. We're here. We're real.
What I mean is- and I can never exactly wrap my head around it - should've probably sent a letter in to that one comic writer about it - but it's like fiction is this third place between "reality" and "unreality," right?
Or does anyone know that one author with the idea that all universes are really just fiction written by someone else? Kinda has me worried for some of those fanfic 'verses.
And it's not like "real life" back home was any less strange than fiction. I mean, geeze- we had aliens flying about keeping us safe.
Oh, and yeah- the name's Wally West. Guess it's nice to make all of your fictional acquaintances.

[ Cause who else calls him 'KF,' really? ]
Chilling around the community college.
text; private heading towards action;
[And he was. As Dick Grayson, yes, but not exactly bothering to run entirely on the ground - he took shortcuts. Not rooftops, but. He hadn't been hiding he was an acrobat, after all.]
[When he spotted the ginger, he slowed down just enough to take off the shades and approach, cheeks a little flushed and blue eyes bright.]
Yeah, I've been here for over a month. Did they let you eat when they were explaining to you about the place? It's really weird. It has...
[Breath-catching.]
...
Dude. What's the last thing that happened, for you?
[There were things one got to know, about a friend he spent days on end with. And Wally looked - just a little bit different from the last Dick'd seen him.]
action;
Yeah, they let me eat, and uh- important stuff I did with you? Batman was reaming us out for the mission in Santa Prisca. I went home after that, and then... woke up here.
[ This must be really important if Dick's actually showing off his eyes in public like that. ]
action;
It was New Year's, to me. And, yes, you had an awesome birthday.
[Though with those details? Yes, it has to be them. The team he knows about from Tim wasn't led by Batman. Dick crosses the last steps to his best friend and throws his arms about him in a tight hug.]
Man, this place is so. Weird. There was another me. There are people that I'm older brother two. "Superman's name is Clark Kent" is something people get right in trivia. I'm. So glad that you're here.
[Sorry. Sorry. He'll be fine in a moment. He's not even crying, the words are low, breathless. But this moment of clinging? Please let him have it.]

Oh yeah- he's big in my hometown, Central. Is he the star of a movie where you're from? [ Major deflecting. ]

Although on this island, I suppose, it's only a matter of time.

Thankfully, so far literary classics seem to be safe territory. As long as Hyperion isn't optioned for a movie, we'll all live another day.

Nice to meet ya.
Re: [Text]
Do you need help settling in?
Re: [Text]
Worlds with their own rules- different physics, I bet. I wonder what this place has in common with every other place, then.
