[ so. this is something. sort of. ]

You take me from where I am needed to deposit me in a realm where I am claimed a false being. Yet here I am real.

[ yo, he's heard that song and dance before on midgard. you're totally late on that one, new moore. and he doesn't believe it for one second. ]

I do not take kindly to such deceit and would like to speak with your leader peaceably—should that not be obtained, I share no qualm in using force. But I do not wish it to come to that.

[ there is a brief pause; someone looks a mite bit angry ]

I had wondered if you would come join us here, as well.

[ . . . ]

What would cause your query? You know of me?

[first there's some noise in the background that sounds like someone excitedly galloping (and fumbling a bit) toward this Thor.]

Ah, he's here, isn't he? I knew he would come. I saw it. Let me see.

[actually sort of intercepting this video by poking around Other-Thor, only a pair of bright green eyes and messy hair visible beneath the frame of the phone. it's hard to tell just how he got himself wedged he sounds a tad self-satisfied.]

I did tell him.

[he waves.]

Of course we know of you. How would one not know of the Mighty Thor? A most pleasant Asgardian welcome to a most some-what pleasant tropical isle slash inter-dimensional holding. There are no guides, but we'll help all we can.

Oh, hi.

You told him little of import, Loki.

[His voice only sounds vaguely chiding. The rest of his tone is amusement.]

What he says is true. We are both of Asgard, but a different from what you know.

[It occurs to him that this is not enough information, but since Loki has chosen to barge in, he can handle the rest if there are further questions.]

[ it would be startling if he let it be. and, actually, he thinks about allowing such a thing. part of him doesn't want to, but the other part—the part that isn't so good at hiding his emotions... well, that's the part that looks surprised.

this must be the other loki that young lady referenced.

what can he really do at a time like this? a time when he is presented with another loki. a loki who reminds him of the boy he once knew and not the psychotic man he's become. ]

You must be Loki.

[ he says it matter-of-factly, rather than posing it as a question. he's no fool. not really. nonetheless, he frowns all the same and shakes his head. ]

I require no guide. I seek exit, I do not belong here and haven't the time.

[ then, addressing.............. him.............. self........???? ]

So it seems. How much different, I wonder.

[There is much he can ask, that he can say, but he does not linger over the smaller details. Then again, he never has, unless the time called for it. How different their Asgards are would be found out in time; if they were both trapped here in the long term, that is.]

Is Asgard in danger?

[Because, really, that is what matters most.]

If so, then there is no escape. I've tried to use Mjolnir to such purposes and even it has failed me.

[there's a bit of an eager look on his face as he leans in so his face takes up most of the screen. he backs up again when Other-Thor comes back into view and starts speaking. for the time that he does, he remains fairly quiet glances at him when he finishes, and speaks again.]

This isle's ways are mysterious, even to the ones that it holds. There have been many theories, none in stone.

Ah—

[he looks at Thor again, and then back to .... Thor.]

My Other-Self is here. The Loki from your dimension is here, if that's whom you seek.

[ then perhaps they share that thread of common ground. thor could ask several things and yet... he hasn't the need yet, or the means to form the correct words. ]

No, Asgard is safe. For now.

[ but who knows because of what loki has done... there truly is no telling what sort of trouble may befall asgard as consequence.

and, for the record, he's not so sure how well this is sitting with him that he's essentially looking and talking to himself and he's got mjolnir, too. this is all really too much to process at once and he's starting to feel overwhelmed, which is only serving to irritate him further. ]

I would hear of these theories, but perhaps at another time. [ there is a pregnant pause and thor's gaze shifts elsewhere and it's clear his mind has gone with it. ] I am certain he is not seeking me. He has not caused trouble, has he?

[As the conversation goes on, it does occur to him that this is surreal, but there are pressing matters. Unlike his other self (though he does not know this), he is calm. Perhaps it is because of the various alternate timelines and stories he has heard from others.

In fact, that is likely the case. There is little that can surprise him, even if matters remain ... unusual.]

He has made threats. And he sees fit to encourage hatred toward him, because he finds that comfortable.

We've been here, so he's not dared to make the move that I'm certain he wishes to.

[this is like having a very tiny good criminal to take out the very bad big criminal. he leans up a little bit to get a better look into the phone as he speaks.]

But now you're here too! I'm sure he won't do anything too terribly drastic. Knowing all the drastic-like business he likes to subject himself to.

Er—

[looks back at Thor and then to Thor again.]

Two Thors is quite a lot of Thors to answer to, wrong move made. A victory for everyone.

[ well. maybe one day this thor will figure out how to be calm about things like this. but it's really hard when he was supposed to arrive in asgard with his brother in tow with the tesseract. and now.

well. now he's here.

and so is loki, apparently. which isn't good. at all. and it doesn't surprise him that loki's already begun making threats and making himself the bad guy. like he's a damn animal pissing on his territory so no one else gets any other ideas. ]

If you think that my being here will stop Loki from doing whatever it is he seeks to do—you do not know my brother. Regardless of there being two of— [ ok still weird ] myself... It will likely not cease his tracks.

No. That would not stop him. Loki is one who never stops. Unless he chooses to stop himself.

[Though they can try. There is clear agitation in his voice over this note, whereas he has been calm(ish) previously.]

For now.

[he says, with a hint of pride, looking between Thors. there's two Thors! one here and one there. he's trying to figure out just which one he wants to give his attention to.]

We made bide our time, and there are ways he can be thrown. Don't tell him I said that, of course. It's purely a Loki thing. Who better to know Loki than Loki?
