Essentially warmer hued bloods are physically weaker, have shorter lifespans, are are more prone to undesirable genetic variation, and are thus the lesser castes. Moving into the cooler hues, trolls are more powerful and presumably allowed higher social status. On Beforus this was the same but instead of encouraging culling the lower castes, they encouraged coddling.
